Ignorance is Bliss

thank god
he gifted you
with ignorance,
so you’ll never
have to
understand
the need to
starve yourself
and the driving
necessity
to drag a razor
across your skin.
thank him that
you do understand
who you are
because not everyone
does, they only
know pills and blades
and bullets and rooftops
(i guess this is
what they mean
when they say
ignorance is
bliss )
