Favorite Quote:
“She seems so cool, so focused, so quiet, yet her eyes remain fixed upon the horizon. You think you know all there is to know about her immediately upon meeting her, but everything you think you know is wrong. Passion flows through her like a river."

Somehow...
Somehow, I could see you
before I'd ever met you
before I'd known
that you really existed
I could see you
escaping from a terrible secret
that vexes us all
you'd escaped from love
and if I'd known you
I would have regarded you
as a hero
as a warrior
from a battlefield
where I've many times
lost my heart
and nearly my life
but you escaped from
the arms of a man
who wanted to marry you
into the arms of a man
who wanted to claim you
and so I wonder
if you'd really escaped at all
love will follow, he told you
enough of love
and you said that it would kill you
and you said you'd be friends
but the words were lost
so you spoke to the air
you said you would return
to your True Love's arms
to his heart
but you found a battlefield
a broken, charred house
full of terrible secrets
secrets you never forgot
and there you were
a warrior
with the man who would marry you
rather than claim you
and somehow...
somehow I could see you there
before I'd ever met you
before I'd known
that you really existed
I could see you
returning
to the battlefield
