aspiring to be a flash of noble blue
that flies through the pale merciful air,
I crave the swinging privileges
hoping to be a primrosed promise,
that sits on a ruby throne of royalty,
I need intelligent, gleaming eyes that lament
lusting for the unbroken porcelain of crimson
that beats the spastic rhythm of love,
I cry out for the evading spirits of orchids
longing for the snatches of unclaimed seconds,
that drift in clusters of translucent minutes,
I ache for the invisible watch of tempo
