seasons
It's autumn and there is not a single speck of black in the world
the roads, the air, and your eyes are filled with shades of red and gold
I feel as though I and falling harder for you than the leaves are the ground
It's winter and there is no warmth to keep me awake
I am still alive, but only with breaths of ice that freeze my soul
I cannot feel pain, I cannot feel happiness, I am numb
but nothing can be as cold as your heart when I told you the truth
It is spring now and the flowers aren't the only thing being reborn and finding their beauty
I feel free, now that I've escaped from your halfhearted grasp
I've though over all the mistakes in my head
but the biggest one is wasting a single moment on you
Though it is summer I still feel chills
from my head, down my spine
into the hands you once held
not even the sun can melt me back together
but it'll be autumn soon enough
