Favorite Quote:
“She seems so cool, so focused, so quiet, yet her eyes remain fixed upon the horizon. You think you know all there is to know about her immediately upon meeting her, but everything you think you know is wrong. Passion flows through her like a river."

I can't help but think
we're falling farther,
farther apart
you love me
chemical reaction
you hate me
longing to be free
of you
of me
the pain
and the heartbreak
make me feel beautiful
so I cling to it
like a safety blanket
and hope
that's enough
for you.

The author's comments:
I wrote this to symbolize my relationship with my mother. I am extremely close with my mom, but at the same time, our relationship is incredibly tense. I sometimes feel as though she resents me, so I wrote this piece.
