Ups and downs,
Levels of your life
I hear it when you play.

Play your music,
Please, play it loud.

I hear your pain,
I hear your happiness,
I hear the words you cannot say.

Never did I know,
The words music could say.
How, sir?
Teach me your ways,
Steal the words out of my mouth,
And play it. Play it loud.

Your music!
Never, never shall I forget
Your life, the words you cannot say, every emotion
Not spoken, but felt,
Deep in my heart,
Where your music lays.

The author's comments:
Music can sometimes convey what we cannot; with words, body language, or looks. Music is powerful, and to deny that isn't smart.
