Is it worth the risk?

All my life I’ve kept a comfortable distance

So I wouldn’t get hurt

I’ve always been afraid to open to others

Afraid of what would’ve happen if i did

I’ve got a tight grip on reality but I can’t

Bear to see you go

After all that you’ve done for me

Saying, “thank you” isn’t enough

Being with you is a never ending happiness

So I’m trying to break that comfortable distance

To make it better than it was ever before

But if I let go, will you catch me when I fall?

Risks one takes when in love. It's the uncertainty and fear of getting hurt one feels at a stage when love is beginning to bloom. This feeling also applies when forming new friendships as well.
