Free Fall
Tears slide down my cheek
Warm and salty
I brush them away, embarrassed.
What are my tears worth?
Some people think
Tears are a weakness
I think they’re both:
A weakness and a strength.
Tears don’t let you think in
Straight lines
Thoughts come out in
Triangles and diamonds, instead.
Letting tears fall in front of others,
It shows you don’t mind if they see emotion
Tears are strong,
Powerful in what they convey.
Don’t let that power
Make you weak.
