Young and Free
Cruising through the
town, windows down.
Music pumping loud,
hands swaying to the
sound of that old
country song.
Smell the summer air
feel the wind
through our hair.
Running barefoot in
the soft green grass
dancing by the
railroad tracks.
We take our clothes off
as we run off the dock
and splash into
the cold creek.
She screams as she
jumps from the rocks
swinging from the
rope swing.
Looking up at the
stars in the sky
make a wish as
one shoots by,
we close our eyes.
To end the night
a perfect kiss.
