Ways of Life
When you walk the paths of life,
Through hard and endless strife,
Find the truth that lies in the heart,
Never from it do part.
For truth is what brings love,
And laughter like you never thought of,
The past times of hurt and anguish,
Rage so hard to extinguish.
Think of the golden drops of joy,
Fueled by rays of hope do lie,
That burn when you grow tired and weary,
Thinking only of memory.
Then you’ll know what bitter tastes like,
And happier times so short unlike,
So have a good friend to stand by,
When walking these ways of life, like I.
