Epidermis
I only wish to be your skin,
holding onto you ever so tightly,
protecting you from harm,
your skin – I wish I could be,
I wish to be your eyes,
so that I can see everything as beautiful as you,
the vivid colors of your imagination,
surrounding every cell,
I wish to be your brain,
so I could know how you really feel,
feel about me and everything else you've said,
I want to know what you're thinking about,
I do not wish to be you,
for I am content with who I am,
I just wish to hold onto you,
and never ever let go.
