Shattered
Gray winds and old photographs, welcome to my mind.
The world is dark to me, current events have no place.
My mind is my only escape.
You could say that I have the tendency to daze off or dream, but it comes as second nature to me.
"They can't put a lock on your mind." Said someone who was a part of a book I just read.
I shut myself off because it eases the pain, I can smell the fragrance of dew and fresh rain.
Even though the swing their incense, cloaking me in gray, my mind keeps me close to a safe place.
The moon sings a lullaby, and the stars never fade.
Eternal night. A Blissful and peaceful oblivion.
In that place, I am the only one. I have no fears and I never have to run.
The time passes in a sweet melody, never ending song.
So listen close, for who knows when you might need it next, keep your mind free, and dreams in a chest.
