God Is Weeping
When the rain sweetly falls,
And the dew drops like tears,
And the flowers bow their heads in respect,
God is weeping.
When the angel’s sobs come as thunder,
And when the animals wail,
And God’s anger strikes as lighting,
God is weeping.
When the birds huddle together,
And preen their feathers,
And chirp sadly into the night,
God is weeping.
When I stare out the window,
When everyone is sleeping
Knees pulled to my chin,
God is weeping.
When they call me names,
And make me run away,
And tease me until I sob,
God is weeping.
When I run into,
My mother’s tender arms
And cry myself to sleep,
God is weeping.
And when I am bullied
Every day,
God is weeping,
And I weep with Him.
