I Hope She Makes You Happy
I hope she makes you happy, and that you both last a long time
I’m mad or sad, I just that you could have been mine
When you’re with her, I see such a big smile on your face
I guess the race is over, and she has won first place
Although I can’t, I still long to kiss you sometime
I know now that that’s never going to happen, so I have to get you off my mind
We could have been something good, but you and she can be something better
So what irrelevant feelings I have left, they don’t matter
I can’t deny that this hurts worse than anything else
But I will never be with you, so I have to be honest with myself
I fought hard for your affection, but she got it with ease
I still want you and the feelings that I have are turning into a disease
She’s going to do things for you, that I probably never could
Your relationship with her is going to be good
And I will still be here, living my life with something missing everyday
Thinking about how I let the perfect man, slip away …
