Brother
Brother,
You truly are awesome,
in the whole sense of the word,
I don’t just mean
cool,
interesting,
intelligent,
loving,
protecting,
even though you certainly are all those
wonderful things.
No I mean
AWE INSPIRING!
I have always
looked up to you,
and you down to me
because you’re always the tall one
guiding me along
and I’m always the short one
stumbling after
when you go exploring,
but no how far you go,
no matter how many miles you travel
I’ll always be there pushing through the
brambles,
tripping over the fallen logs,
making my way after you.
Twenty years,
you’ve trodden the messy paths,
gone down curving roads,
jumped over canyons,
always making sure to
flatten them out,
push them straight,
and turning back to build a bridge
because four years after
I’ll be right behind.
So in my eyes, you are positively,
certainly,
undoubtedly
awe inspiring.
