silent reverie
A rose for my silent reverie
i place it on the coffin. last time ill see
your eyes, they sit in peace final bliss
your laugh, your ways all the things ill miss
i know not your life nor your death, missing key
autobiographies gone.lost in your sea
gray is the area, the idea of your life
your shield destroyed me. eternal plight.
calm your soul. may your spirit find peace.
though not knowing you makes me weak
i begged and pleaded for a story each time
you lied or said "when you're older" but things change
head of a dime
now i walk in wonderland. Alice at my side.
I'm investigating you, walking ways not mine.
you were a beautiful warrior and,i,your troop
red alarm. missing. cursed news.
an enemy in black closing in
i walk invincible. invisible sin
cloaks me in armor yet no callous within
subjected to inhumanity by supposed humans
now with vigor i turn over huge stones
looking within your memoir unknown
silently you rest waiting to awake
until then i know you watch each step i take
