"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder."

A noise came from just beyond the stairwell,
a slight jingle of the lock.
Eyes glued to the door,
I noticed the knob turning ever so slightly.

My first instinct was to run; however,
my feet could not support my weight.
Collapsing on the cold hard floor,
I watched a tall burly man stride forward.

He dressed all in black,
Not an inch of skin to be seen.
The only visible aspects of the man were his eyes.
Terrifying, enraged eyes which seemed to burn through me.

I reached for my phone,
quickly dialing for nine one one,
though the call never went through.
Before I realized, the man was violently shoving me
through the only door in the entire house!

The last thing I remember was the moon.
How glorious the luminous orb beamed tonight.
The beautifully glowing bulb suddenly disappeared,
ripped away by the shutting of the car trunk.

As the car started to move,
my last ray of hope was shattered.
No one could save me now.

A creepy poem about a kinapping happening in a rural area. I hope people will find it creepy yet fascinating.
