I'll Follow You
I'll follow you to the ends of the earth
To the hills and across the seas
Facing monsters that you'll never face
Living on my knees
I'll brave lashing weather, vicious storms
Live a dangerous life just to be in your arms
As you look for a lady who'll never be me
As you search for a girl who'll brave the sea
You're saying "She ain't out there, there's no one there for me. No one wants to share this life. Alone forever's what I'll be."
You're not seeing with those bright blue eyes
The one who's already here
You're looking past the horizon
Past the girl who loves you dear
Still I climb the mountains next to you
I've fallen so far in my heart
I play with fire and ice
Because I can't bear to tear us apart.
Maybe "us" is only in my head
Maybe to you it's only you and me
Though it breaks my heart
I knew from the start
We were never meant to be.
Still I'll follow you to the ends of the earth.
To the hills and across the seas.
Facing monsters I'll never LET you face.
Always living on my knees.
