Naked
we ran together, forgetting ourselves completely
but we are left, stripped of our cloths, exposed
we are not one
but two
too afraid to let go of the love we’ve planted
so deep inside of ourselves
that our touch is a symbol of nothing
and we watch each other
dreaming with our eyes set
set on the love that will not change
cannot change because that change will leave us
with the emptiness of our hearts
hearts drenched with tears that do not fall from our eyes
that are kept inside
far from the surface we’ve left for each other
