Like soot, his tongue
clogged up my chimney.
No puff-puff-puffs
of smoky breath, escaped
into the night air.
Desire deep within his pores,
doused my walls
in gasoline, tempted
his flames, ignited
by matchstick fingers.
I blazed.
He scalded my body
leaving hot coal
handprints
in his wake.
His demented passion
cremated the innocence
that once stood tall.
my body reduced to ashes,
he departs,
parched.

Holy cow that was great! I liked the "no puff-puff-puffs" line best. The imagery was spectacular!

Wow, I love the passion in this poem! The imagery was also wonderful, along with the symbolism of the walls and fire.
