The light is fading
I can see it in your eyes
Others think you’re happy
I’ve seen you cry
I know it’s hard for you
There’s something deep within
The light in you could shine so bright
But here it becomes so dim
I wish you could be happy
I’ve tried so hard, I’ve tried
I hoped you would feel wanted
But something in you has died
So now here I sit
Counting the days
I never wanted you gone
I wanted you to stay
Cause the whole thing is
I wish you were here with me
A friend without the other
Is never how it should be.

My friend was going through a bout of loneliness. I go to a boarding school, and she couldn't handel being away from her family. She tried to make it through the year but it didnt work out. :(

Why did your friend leave your school? It seems like your poem is about something more than just her leaving.  My friend may have to leave my school and I was wondering if your friend had the same thing going on as mine does. I love the poem though. I feel the same way about my friend right now. :)

i feel the same way if my friends move or someting but i truely love this poem . u should make more poems and show everyone because u r really good at it
