The Battle
The armies equipped and the weapons are many,
they wasted no time, energy or penny.
They shall fight the good fight, of honesty and truth,
and slay out all evil right from the root.
With sword in one hand, shield in other,
when opposites clash, there is no brother.
Only the person who stands in your path,
they must feel the glory or your blade, let loose thine wrath.
The battle ensues and both charge forth,
leaving, one from the south, one from the north.
And when they meet, the blinding sound,
while the first body drops to the ground.
Back at home, they’re stuck,
trying to get out of the muck.
Bands wrapped of lies, around your mind,
no truth or justice, none of any kind.
Don’t you see, that is us! We are trapped in our ways,
just fighting and allowing our minds to be slaves.
It is he who was vanquished, but brought back to torment,
he makes us see evil, no room to repent.
But their is another, who is stronger than he,
He made the earth, stars and seas.
He made us, breathed life into our souls,
yet we look different, we have similar goals.
He wants us to lead, to be generals of hope,
therefore we must learn to cope,
with the awful unraveling of chaos and despair
and with that, my friends, we must prepare.
Some might go, others shall stay,
just so darn stuck in their way.
But those who go, you know what to do.
But there stands a single query:
Who is the leader? Will it be you?
