Where I'm From
I am from perfume,
from detergent and seasoning.
I am from the bench on my
porch.
I am from the corner store and the park.
It's joyful and beautiful times live on in me.
I am from beaches to festivals
from Bachata and Cumbia.
i'm from small towns to cities
and rivers to fields.
From not working,no eating and
control your problems.
I'm from believe in what you think
with your opinion
and reasons why.
I'm from my parent's branches
Empanadas and Flans.
From my awkward bond with my cousins.
My grandparents trying to still be
"hip".
This all flows in pictures
saved in my special album.
Looking at it reminds me of many people.
It all stays locked inside my heart, safe and sound.
