"Me?
Well, I’m well.
Well, I mean I’m in hell.
Well, I still have my health
At least that’s what they tell me
If wellness is this, what in hell’s name is sickness?"

All the choices I'm making
They complicate my mind
All these chances I'm taking
My success has been fined
I think of all the people
the lives they're leading on
Some sliding down the pole
Some just as they had drawn
I tell them all I care
'Leave insecurities behind'
I promise, no, I swear
I never press rewind
I don't know if they believe
They can't accept my claim
It's easier to grieve
The guilt that fueled the shame

I think of all the people
Who complicate their minds
Some have lost their soul
I think I'm losing mine

Originally inspired by "Live for Today" by The Grass Roots
...though this poem has a much different message, I should think.
