Summer Love
I want to catch the sunrise,
Let the sunset pore into my being,
In between, I’d like to be stuck in the lines on your palm,
lose myself in the dispensation that carries your soul,
lift me, revive me.
Let me hear the last drops of coffee steam their way into your vocal cords,
take me away, hide me in the curve of your chest,
cradle me into the secrets of your childhood walls.
I want to catch the sunrise as it rolls over the mountain of your eyes,
Let the sunset pore into my being, as it drains out of your paint stained fingertips
