For you, beautiful, pulcher:
For you, beautiful, pulcher:
Pulchritudo, her hair, her smile, my love
Pulchritudo, her form, her fashion above,
Above the clouds she sings, a melody oh so fine—
As I know her, and she is mine,
She knows not of me,
Of the eyes that stare from behind the tree
The spindle I thank for hiding me
And the branch I loathe for its prickly edges
As I gaze, at her, at belle, nature’s flare, lovely and fair, her graceful presence beyond compare
I’m warm,
My heart, her heart—the same,
Glowing is she, her flame, my fire, our passion for each other
Like embers flickering from a furnace….
For her, my heart sings a glorious tune
For us, I wish and for me I pray, that she, her body may lay—warm and rich, beside mine
Our souls attuned,
Attached…
We are one; you and me—healing each other, for time and love we live,
As the sun casts a red glow,
I wish to share with you my dearest, affection
And for you to share with me, your radiant glow that lights the fire of life, of us together, lovely
Our love, the flame, our fire, forever burning—
Philocaly, you and me, living together, forever, in symphily.
