Wishing
Its a warm foggy morning,
And I walk outside,
I see the fog Surround me,
I feel like I'm walking on clouds.
But my thoughts are elsewhere.
They rest in one place.
One thought.
One picture.
That picture;
It's you.
Acting goofy as usual.
But there's something...
Different.
Something, distorted.
I can't put my finger on it.
Now you are turning,
Turning to look straight at me.
My heart is pounding,
I wonder if you can hear it.
We lock eyes.
You smile and my heart flutters.
If only you knew,
If only you guessed,
That you do this to me.
All I want is to just hold on,
And never let go.
But there is something
Different in this picture.
Something wrong.
I cant place it,
So… I ignore it.
Then you are right there,
Just in arms reach.
Strange,
I dont recall seeing you move.
All worries are set aside
When you hug me.
All thoughts are lost.
You are everywhere.
Then you pull away.
I yearn to be back in your arms.
My heart all but
Comes to a halt
When you lean in to kiss me.
My heart is a fire engine,
My head is a cloud.
You surround me.
Our lips come closer.
I wake up.
