Waking up at noon.
Bathing suits and cold water.
Sunburned cheeks, sunbleached hair,
Popsicles dripping down sticky hands.

Watching scary movies till three a.m.
Makeovers and laughing hysterically.
Best friends, slumber parties,
Staying up until you can't anymore.

Talking until the sunlight fades.
Holding hands and sitting close.
First kisses, first fights,
Making up an hour later.

Watching the stars in the cool night
Love and innocence
Telling stories, wishing it wouldnt end,
Holding onto to every minute
