I sit at that lunch table you avoid.

It hurts to be called
a lesbian, even though it shouldn't.
It's just a state of being.
It's free expression, a trait of love.
It's beautiful.
It hurts to be called
fat, even though it shouldn't.
It's all relative, based on the opinions of the judgmental.
It doesn't matter, anyway.
All bodies are beautiful.
It stays with you, when you're called
annoying,
boring,
stupid,
ugly,
weird.
It burns in your chest to be categorized as
a b****,
a fag,
a freak,
a retard,
a slut.
But, God, let me tell you something.
Nothing hurts so much as
never
being
called-

Oh my gosh.. how did you just go and write the most relevant thing since Girl Code. And you did it unpretentiously and with a style I would like to describe as quietly devastating
Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo true. It hurts being called names, I know first hand with most of the ones you named. It kills you in the inside. And makes you more self-conscrience as if you weren't already. But being ignored and not recognized as a human being is by far the worst feeling. It's almost hard to choose which one to take. The hate or the indifference? I'm in love with this poem.
