to love thee is like loving a summers day
but indeed i do for i know it's true
but as a summers day draws on
it will become too hot an bright to endure
but that's the price i pay for loving your light
but still it draws on to become night
an a cool summers breeze lifts my spirits
an as the night draws on
the moon an stars come out
so i will wish with all my might
that you love me true
as i do you for to love thee
is like loving a summer's day
