Jamie
Jamie wakes up the next morning afraid to open her eyes
Praying it wasn't true, that what she heard was lies
But could that really happen? Was it all just a dream?
Looking outside, everything is fine or so it would seem
As her feet touch the floor, it all becomes real again
How he’s really gone, now seems so far from then
Yet it was only yesterday, already the mornings been so long
How is she to get out of bed when everything feels so wrong?
But she keeps on going, knowing better days are yet to come
Fighting back the tears in a crowd of faces, feeling like the only one
Jamie keeps true to God, knowing he'll bring her thru
He understands how she feels, he lost a loved one too.
So keep on smiling hun, even if it has no meaning
Not for the one you lost but for the guardian you’re receiving
