Back in the day the prince would save the day
Come and get his girl and sweep her away
But now I’m sitting here waiting wondering why
Why every time the fairytale begins for me it just seems to die
Now I look at you and see those sparks fly
I’m afraid of letting this chance go by
But I don’t want the heartbreak again
Can’t stand giving yet another man my world in his hands
Afraid of what the future could hold
Yet knowing that all we can do is let this unfold
