Things to do, check my lists
make sure I've done all of it;
Can't believe the year's almost gone
Another month to say that's done.
And the colored lights fill the windows
of houses all up and down the street;
I walk along with my hands in my pockets
try not to think too much.
If I do, I'll get carried away
and overly blue; it's been a long year,
every moment filled with some sort of tears.
I don't want tears now,
I'd rather let the chilling winds
clean my eyes dry.
