Let the Chains be Broken
Her life is seemingly perfect, a loving family, great school, a life in America. But deep inside anger seethes within her about the no name family that abandoned her. Anger is prison holding her captive and is not willing to let go. The chains that bind her are labeled, undervalued, stupid, and every negative label. She resolves never to cry for fear of appearing weak or vulnerable. Instead anger and resentment build up inside her like a volcano ready to blow. Until she can't take it anymore. She screams and cries out to God why did this happen. With each tear of anger and grief released the prison around her slowly crumbles. The chains rattle loose and come free. The girl feels strong arms around her. "I can relieve you from this pain through me you can find peace" God's voice says.Something in the girl's heart lifts, a new sense of hope and the long desired peace and forgiveness. And there in the darkness a ray of light shines through.
