The Graceful Fall
Upon the crest
Once in a nest
It’s easier to fall
To let your wings
Fly openly
And hope they’ll never stall
The twigs are harsh
Above the marsh
Above where none can see
But if you look
In every nook
Where ever will they be?
Beyond the bask
Slipped down a mask
The shadows will intrude
It rests a slow
Oh, it won’t go
Unless the wind is crude
In every ear
If you could hear
The sugary soft song
Your heart would thrill
And eyes would fill
For the journey won’t be long
A simple glide
We’re all beside
The night and lonely day
Hope that you’ll land
For it’s never planned
And simply fly away
