Corner Around the Bend
It is only late do we see what was there
So much that wasn’t said
Was left on the step swept bare
Where no one can get but dead
Through so much pain we all see
The point of no return
Where tears are all blame free
Because we all know they burn
From the gallows of dreams
Do we understand most people
In which nothing is as seems
And friends are just as feeble
There is no fact
That faith can be bound to
Because it is compact
And woven through and through
Life is so much music
So much noise
Does only a musician woos it
Further into fiddle toys
From time’s beginning
To time’s end
We see ourselves thinning
In the corner around the bend
