Dead Like Autumn
Free from the curse that held me in place,
That black hand of crushing misery,
Choking me, blinding me, it's gone
Like the words of a life once loved,
Then hated like the death opposing it.
All is well after all,
And I have no need to fear the future.
For what plagued me so long is over,
And the disease dead like the autumn
