The world is a tree
we are the leaves

Some of us are green
Some of us are red

Some of uschange colors
Others just stay the same all year

We gather on branches enjoying each other
Some are alone cause everyone blew away

Some are at the top and can see everything
Others are lower and can't see anything

We all fall off at some point

Some get carried by the breeze
Others get trampled on the ground

None of us know when or where we'll fall
We're just hopeing we go somewhere

The author's comments:
I wrote this poem in history class while stareing at a tree outside. Watching the leaves fall and seeing the looks on my classmates's faces made me realize we're alot like the leaves. Who knows where we're going, we just want to go
