Truthful Tellings

Truth, it’s something soft and kind
And if you meet a truthful someone
It’s quite a lucky find
Like a shiny penny on the street,
Or four leaf clover peeping from underneath your feet,
A person who tells the truth in kindness
Is never someone to be missed.
But although it seems wonderful,
to keep these people
Special, rare, shining pearls,
wouldn’t it be great,
If everyone was truthful
All the time, we would be rid of the fear
and hate spread by lies.
