My angel
It made naught difference,
That we ne'er even kissed,
Nor lain a single night together.
His was a gentle voice,
And a warm comforting arm.
Not for all the love I've known,
The joys and sorrows I'd surrender,
If only to be in that embrace.
Hiding a coy face,
Safe from all the worlds harm.
Many more things I've learned,
But none will ever be so missed,
Like that sweet innocence.
