Four Years More
Five boys, together, all smiling.
We have done it, middle school
is over. The group delights,
four years more await.
Today we see that picture, they notice only
that we have grown. I, too, notice,
but I see more. These boys will not be together,
not tomorrow, not always, not for four years more.
But more awaits.
