Where are they?
My glittering white
sand beaches and my
glittering golden days

Where am I?
Why are my shoelaces
dirtied, soiled
black

This is not what I
expected
not what I
was promised.

I looked down at my beat up comfy shoes today, advertised as "100% free!", and something about the way they were old and soft inspired me.
Despite it all, life isn't always the great adventure it is "advertised" as.
