A Pen, A Pencil, and A Grain Of Sand
Not much to do
No, not much at all
But sometimes I feel
I have already fallen
For the work a pencil
Can do
It can write amazing stories
For me, and for you
A pen can draw
The most wondrous things
It can give a bird, or even an Elephant
Wings
But sand
Does nothing
For me in this time
I need some paper
So I can write out these
Rhymes
Then suddenly
I'm struck
By a wonderful idea
Writing in the sand
It's pretty much the same
I'd just take a picture of it
And give it a name
And a sand castle is a
Piece of art
And everyone knows great ideas Don't come from the brain
But the heart
