The Ease With Which...
Unspoken words echo in my head,
And i wish for the memories to fade away...
I can still recall your gradual retreat,
Those indirect ways of withdrawl...
You changed you said,
I should move on you said !
But the fact remains that you are still the same, and i remember you no diferent.
With no regrets, i know you lived it all at the edge.
You are bitter and sweet, you are incensed and jovial.
You are a bluff and the most proper.
You are so far away and yet so close.
Being friends, enemies, friends, best friends, friends and strangers sounds more of a cliche, And probably is one as well.
But how sublime are the memories we created,
How genuine are the secrets we shared,
How decent the love we felt,
And how simple the arguements we had.
You are a sturdy chapter of my life,
Written in bold and ink,
And my heart shall treasure you forever.
The almost 13 years of friendship means the world to me,
And my growing fondness for you still lingers.
But i fail to realize
The ease with which you bid adieu,
And the ease with which i let you go...
