Standing
I am playing with an entity,
One not entirely unbeknownst to me.
She calls herself life,
And we are playing a game, her and I.
She pushes me down,
I stand up.
Again I topple,
Again I stand.
We fly backwards in time.
I am riding a bike.
I fly,
I am as fast as a falcon,
I turn,
Only to find gravity bring me down.
Again I rise,
I am the bounding gazelle.
Again I fly.
Down the streets,
Down the way.
I fly unto the sun,
Only to be burned.
But I care not,
For here I am warm.
She pushes me,
I stand.
I shall always stand.
