What do you do when you give someone the world and they throw it back in your face?
When you never hurt them once,
But it's you they continue to replace?
When they lure you in like a fish on a hook
And play with your head then leave without a final look?
When they hurt you, but they're still your rock;
the only thing that keeps you sane,
But then they take your love for granted and make you suffer alone through all the
pain.
When they crumble the bonds and keep you from fusing them back together
And they pull you apart vein by vein
Leaving you broken, exposed, and vulnerable forever.
How do you respond when the person that kept you alive is the same one that has you twirled around their finger
And has used, played, and left you time after time, but your love and loyalty continues to linger?
How do you leave the love of your life and give up everything for which you so desperately fought,
Even though they put no effort in and left you countless times without a second thought?
How do you tell them you'll always love and support them and be by their side,
Even after they've made your heart lame
When they don't want to hear any of it and that you know it won't make a difference because in the end you'll always be just a piece in their game?
