What's Better?
What’s better?
Being the person who displays,
A mask of kindness,
Covering up the,
Dark side hidden beneath it,
Or:
Being the person who,
Straight up tells,
Those they can’t stand,
Their opinion on them?
It seems like either choice,
Wouldn’t be the right one.
But in life,
You are either one or the other.
Do you want to be honest,
When you could hurt people?
Do you want to lie,
When you would be hiding your true feelings?
Maybe you just have to mix:
Be true with your feelings of love and friendship,
Be tactful with your feelings of dislike and annoyance,
Be careful with saying exactly what you think,
And be honest with things that are needed to be heard.
