Goodbye 8th grade,
Goodbye middle school.
Goodbye to all my teachers
All so very cool!
Who taught me many things along the way,
Like writing essays and proofs
And making chocolate coated cookie drops too!
Goodbye Student Council,
Power of the Pen, and Builders Club too.
Goodbye to my locker, number 61,
I’ll miss you a ton!
American History was a ball,
And talk of the Snowball Dance has passed til next fall.
Our trip to D.C. and Gettysburg is coming nearer everyday
And with every step of the way, we’ll listen to what the guides have to say.
It’ll be a blast to the past,
And fun we’ll remember in the future,
While reminiscing with our besties, who we roomed with.
Memorials and museums,
We’ll see them all.
I hope we can recall,
All the facts we learned!
And Capitol Hill we’ll see how the governments run
And at Gettysburg, how the Civil war begun!
Graduation will be fun and summer will be here
Now I am off to high school,
It’s a part of growing up,
Time to prepare for all those tests,
Of which we live in fear,
Like the SATs, which are near
But I think Center has prepared me for whatever comes next
So get ready world, here I come!
