A Bully's Lament
I am bully.
Hear me roar.
I will break you down and hurt you like never before.
My pushes leave you broken.
My hits leave you hopeless.
My words are capable of far worse.
But the secret is,
I was bullied once, too.
And I’ve taken the anger of my past out on you.
While I seem evil and wicked,
Truthfully,
This is what jealousy and resentment have left of me.
I scar your life
To help heal scars of my own
Your pain is my cure.
I am not impossible to defeat.
With tolerance and respect,
I can be stopped.
I know you may hate me,
But I promise you
I loathe myself more.
Don’t let me treat others
The way I’ve treated you.
Because in the end,
We both end up bruised.
