Unexpectedly,
A train barrels into my chest.
A bullet,
Rips through my vest.
I thought,
I could take anything, that I was prepared.
I was wrong.
Barbed wire around my heart ensnared,
The screaming wind,
And thunder clash.
The storm rages,
Punctuated by the lightning flash.
Then it hits me,
You’re dead.
You’ll be in pain no more.
